Simon has been a trusted advisor to Landsec for a number of years now, providing sustainability and design guidance through several £100m-£500m developments in London and the regions. His deep expertise in sustainable design and highly developed knowledge of property has been invaluable. Furthermore, Simon has proved to be indispensable in communicating the value of, and opportunities created through, sustainable design to a broader network of our stakeholders. This has included local authorities and senior leaders from across our business. Accordingly, I recommend Simon as a credible and experienced expert in his field who would be suitable to provide insight and leadership on matters related to sustainability, sustainable design and carbon quantification and reporting.

Ed Dixon, Sustainable Insights Director, Landsec.

I have worked closely with Simon Sturgis over the past 5 years on both the formation and roll out of Grosvenor’s ambitious 10 year retrofit programme. During the early stages he supported me in setting the strategic goals for the programme targeting a 50% reduction in operational carbon. We manage a mixed use heritage portfolio and Simon’s innovative approach to carbon assessment was crucial to keeping us on track. He has challenged us to take into account embodied carbon and reviewed the implications of climate change on our portfolio together with proposing potential measurement approaches including science based targets. I believe Simon to be an industry leader in carbon and targeting net zero.

Victoria Herring, Director of Retrofit, Grosvenor.

Simon is one of the industry's thought leaders - I have been working with Simon personally on a number of high profile projects, and realise that his approach to sustainability stems from his deep understanding of the built environment industry through years of experience (as an architect). His team are therefore very engaging and are able to think outside of the box and work with you, rather than in parallel, therefore adding value to projects they are involved in.
